First, prior to a contractor’s start date, a brief interview would be conducted. Joel would need to know within the first five minutes that the contractor was the right person for the job. 90% of the contractors interviewed needed to be successful matches of talent to the position. Secondly, of the candidates submitted for contract-to-direct positions, contractors must be strong enough that 75% of them could be hired directly by Joel and his team.
